LOOP-PRO ENGINEERTM

LOOP-PRO ENGINEERTM is ideal for process techs, operators and engineers with responsibility for maintaining multiple PID controllers and assuring optimal process performance. The software provides cutting edge technology with tools based on a visual presentation that makes them very easy to use.

LOOP-PRO software has been easy to use by our E/I Technicians. It has enabled my team to consistently optimize the performance of critical loops.

R.H, E&I Supervisor, Magnesium Elektron

Our award-winning technology puts expert capability at your fingertips to help you meet a variety of goals critical to an industry competing in today's global economy, including:

· meeting final product specifications

· minimizing waste production

· minimizing environmental impact

· minimizing energy use

· maximizing overall production rate

LOOP-PRO Engineer makes the visualization and analysis of process data and controller tuning as simple as a few mouse clicks. Our extensive PID tuning library puts the optimal performance of your plant in your control.

Key Features

1. Import data directly from your PLC, DCS, or data historian using standard data formats.
2. Manipulate your data using familiar spreadsheet functions.
3. View, zoom and crop on your data using visual tools to focus on portions of interest.
4. Analyze your data and view plots for min/max, mean, variance, standard deviation, total travel, power spectrum, histogram, standard variation.
5. Model the data with a library of dynamic forms including first order plus dead time (FOPDT), FOPDT Integrating, second order plus dead time (SOPDT), SOPDT integrating, SOPDT with Lead Time, and SOPDT underdamped. Simple check box forces dead time to zero if desired.
6. View a model versus data plot to verify status of design; modify if desired.
7. Select your manufacturer from our extensive vendor list and click to see tuning values for P-Only, PI, PID and ID with filter.
8. Use our proprietary "performance slide bar" to adjust your desired response performance from conservative to aggressive or anything in between.
9. Implement your results directly into your PLC/DCS and benefit from improved PID performance.

Loop Tuning Power in a Few Easy Steps
Below is a brief overview of how easy-to-use and powerful
LOOP-PRO ENGINEER is for improving the profitability and safety of your operation. There are many more features then we can show in a few screen shots, so please feel free to contact us to learn more and access a free demo.

1)
Read your process data into our Excel-like spreadsheet. You can obtain this data from your plant historian, or use our
LOOP-PRO OPC Inbox to collect the data directly from your plant instrumentation. Note that you can edit the data using many Excel-like options.

2) View your data and crop out the those portions you do not want to include in your modeling and tuning analysis. Cropping is as easy as clicking and dragging slides bars to bracket your data of interest. You can crop multiple times from a large file to collect an array of data for comparative analysis.

3) If you desire, compute a host of statistics on your data, including mean, variance, standard deviation, min/max and total travel. Generate plots including histograms and power spectrum for visualization and consideration of advanced strategies. Tutorials and on screen tips help you interpret what you see.

4) Choose a dynamic model from our library to quickly analyze the dynamic behavior of your process. We recommend the first order plus dead time (FOPDT) model when PID controller tuning is your ultimate goal.

5)
Click the "start fitting" button and within seconds, you will have a visual representation of even the noisiest data. The process gain, time constant and dead time provide the basis for controller design and tuning. No more trial and error and expensive, off-spec product as you fiddle your way to success. You simply decide if the yellow line looks reasonably similar to your process data.

5) Select your controller manufacturer from our extensive library of controllers. Click on the algorithm and you are done. If you don't see your vendor on our list, we will add it, typically with 48 hours of receiving the information.

6) LOOP-PRO's unique tuning slide bar let's you "dial in" your desired performance. Plots show your current performance and your expected performance as you slide the dial from aggressive to conservative and anything in between.
