LOOP-PRO OPC INBOXTM OPC INBOX provides a comprehensive set of data capture, trending and performance monitoring capabilities so you can keep you finger on the pulse of your operation. Collecting business-critical process data from across your plant’s assorted control systems and identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) has never been easier.
Compliant with all OPC Foundation interconnection protocols, LOOP-PRO OPC INBOX is readily configured to connect with your plant’s existing OPC servers. And because it is fully compatible with our LOOP-PRO ENGINEER and DEVELOPER software, OPC INBOX completes your PID control optimization toolkit. With a few mouse clicks, point OPC INBOX to your plant’s OPC servers and begin capturing process data in real-time. Record and trend a large number of data items using our short-term data historian. Our graphical analysis and performance monitoring tools makes it easy to visually compare the behaviors of loops as a group. The result is a clear understanding of overall plant performance. OPC INBOX provides the real-time data you need to optimize your plant’s performance with confidence. Key Features
Data Capture, Trending, &
Monitoring in a Few Easy Steps 1) Launch OPC INBOX and the software will search for and list the OPC compliant servers on your network. Use the Server Connections window to browse local and remote computers to locate the OPC server of interest. If you have already visited a server and configured data tags, the Performance Explorer can be launched in just two mouse clicks.
2)
After an OPC server connection is established,
browse and select the data
items to be collected, analyzed and/or plotted.
OPC INBOX
offers several methods for locating and viewing process data:
3)
Process data items can be designated for continuous updating
(such as sensor measurements) or as single read items (such as
tuning values) when a session is initialized. This feature is
valuable for minimizing network traffic and server load.
4) With data collection enabled, OPC INBOX can generate process data files either using the short term data historian data logger or by highlighting a section of data from a trend plot and choosing the "save to file" option.
5) OPC INBOX offers powerful trending capabilities, with the short-term historian able to store 24 hours worth of fast-sampled data. Trend plots can display parameters using as many as four vertical axes.
6) A variety of metrics and measures help you track the current performance of any control loop. Descriptive statistics can be computed on any data item or the difference between two items. For example, a histogram of the controller error can be displayed to visualize the process variables spread around a set point. Click on measure or statistic and a meter gauge will provide a useful display of its value relative to the benchmark value.
7) OPC INBOX monitors your plant with a comprehensive set of data capture, trending and performance monitoring capabilities so you can keep you finger on the pulse of your operation.
