Control Station Fuels Innovation and Recognizes Robert Rice with Promotion

Robert Rice Promoted to Vice President of Engineering with Launch of New Monitoring Solution

Tolland, CT - May 12, 2010 - Control Station announced that Robert C. Rice, PhD has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering. The promotion recognizes Dr. Rice's contributions to product innovation and to the establishment of the Company's LOOP-PRO Product Suite as the industry-leading PID controller tuning and process optimization technology.

Dr. Rice, who served as Director of Engineering since 2004, oversees all of Control Station's product development activities. Under his direction, Control Station's core PID tuning software has been widely recognized as the leading technology for optimizing PID control loops, winning numerous awards for both innovation and ease-of-use. Private-labeled versions of LOOP-PRO are distributed by other leading automation companies including Yokogawa Corporation of America and NovaTech Process Solutions. Dr. Rice also supervised the development of a tuning solution that integrates seamlessly with Rockwell Automation's PlantPAx and FactoryTalk platforms.

Dr. Rice is also credited with the recent and successful launch of Control Station's performance monitoring solution. The solution actively monitors all PID controllers in a given plant and automatically alerts end-users when underperforming control loops are identified. This monitoring solution fully complements the Company's tuning solutions, and it expands Control Station's technology footprint within the broader process control market. The performance monitoring solution is currently being piloted by key customers within the basic materials, power, and oil and gas segments.
